Homegrown

Art from the Hauser & Wirth community

Introducing ‘Homegrown’

This new platform is dedicated to the sale of artworks by the gallery’s staff, immediate family members and freelancers, celebrating the creative talents of its worldwide team. Hauser & Wirth will connect collectors directly with these talented artists themselves—we are simply the conduit for you to begin your conversations.

‘Homegrown’ will be presented as a series of releases by 12 artists occurring every two weeks, through 24 July. The series will highlight artists from across the globe, including Sarasota, Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, Bruton, London, and Zurich.

This bi-weekly, online showcase will feature works made by artists across all of the regions where Hauser & Wirth has locations, representing almost every internal department. Gathered via an open call, the artworks comprise a range of media including paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and video works.

Proceeds of the sale of art on the ‘Homegrown’ platform will go directly to the participating artists, with 10% of gross profits going to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization as part of #artforbetter, Hauser & Wirth’s ongoing global philanthropic and charitable initiative.

#artforbetter

‘As is the case with so many galleries and arts institutions around the world, many of our staff members are also practicing artists. With this project we are thrilled to be able to celebrate the artists within our worldwide Hauser & Wirth family. With so much talent in our own backyard, we felt it was important to create a platform where their creativity can be appreciated by a much larger audience.’—Manuela Wirth, Co-president of Hauser & Wirth

Under the umbrella of Hauser & Wirth’s new global philanthropic and charitable initiative #artforbetter, we are donating 10% of gross profits from sales of all works in our online exhibitions to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO BUYERS:

Homegrown was established and conceived as a means to showcase the artistic talent of Hauser & Wirth’s own worldwide staff and family members and to assist them in promoting their own artwork. Hauser & Wirth has established this online platform—which is separate and distinct from its general gallery operations—to allow participants’ artwork to be displayed to others, including potential buyers. Please note, however, that all works featured on the Homegrown platform are being offered for sale directly by the artists themselves, with Hauser & Wirth solely providing a forum to showcase the works and facilitate the exchange of information between the artists and potential buyers. None of these works have been consigned to Hauser & Wirth; nor do we own or have any of the works in our possession.

Buyers interested in purchasing any of the displayed works should, therefore, contact the individual artists directly, using the contact information provided here. All sales of works displayed through Homegrown are between the individual artist and the buyer. Hauser & Wirth does not represent either the artist or the buyer with respect to any such sales and is not responsible for any transactional aspects of the sale, including handling or facilitating payments, arranging for packing and/or shipping, or warranting the condition of any works. All inquiries regarding the works or the purchase thereof should be directed to the individual selling artists. Hauser & Wirth is pleased to be offering this opportunity to our talented staff and is not accepting any fee or commission. Instead, participating artists have agreed to donate 10% of their sales proceeds to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization as part of #artforbetter, Hauser &Wirth’s ongoing global philanthropic and charitable initiative.
