Eddie R. Aparicio

Eddie Rodolfo Aparicio's (b. 1990, Los Angeles, CA; lives and works in Los Angeles, CA) work focuses on the connections between Central America and Los Angeles, identifying multiple sites as a part of the same community and history as a crucial strategy of decolonial practice.

He has received numerous awards and has been shown in notable exhibitions at The Denver Art Museum (2022), Hessel Museum of Art (2022), The Hammer Museum (2021), El Museo del Barrio (2021), and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (2020) among others. He has had solo exhibitions at Commonwealth and Council, Los Angeles, CA (2020); Páramo, Guadalajara, Mexico (2019); and The Mistake Room, Los Angeles, CA (2018).
