Archetypal dreams filtered through the lens of fashion, from pixels on screen to a rough analogue model of card and tape to be reconstituted in paint. Cardboard becomes a substitute for the gloss and sheen of the airbrushed fashion model, echoing glamour roughshod, challenging value systems and materialistic consumerism. Torn cardboard edges operate as expressive brushmarks within the lexicon of Painting, however slowed in the labour of their replication, time and desire become amplified.
