For June, Maaike Schoorel made a new series of still lives and portraits that she places next to a selection of early and more recent work from her 20-year career. By placing the work in settings that she carefully selected together with Benno Tempel (director Kunstmuseum) she emphasises the importance of light, texture and context. For the project Schoorel and Tempel worked together with graphic designer Vera van de Seyp.
