Eva LeWitt
New York based artist Eva LeWitt’s site-specific installations and wall-based sculptures address sculptural concerns such as volume and weight, and the tensions between industrial and hand-made fabrication. Using soft, pliable, semi-transparent and semi-absorptive materials such as acetate, latex and sponge, she subtly renders variations in tone, exploring the expressive properties of light through strategies of accretion, modularity and repetition.

Highlighted in VI, VII’s presentation are two institutional exhibitions and Untitled (Fish House), a large-scale installation created for a private foundation in New York. Founded by New Yorker, Esperanza Rosales in 2012, VI, VII presents the work of young and emerging international artists, as well as Norwegian artists working internationally. The gallery participates regularly in high profile international art fairs such as Frieze New York, Frieze London, Independent New York. Its new location along the Oslo fjord, close to Norway’s new Munch Museum, opens in November.
