For this new body of work entitled Fake3 there exists a multitude of commercial merchandise around the globe. And for this original merchandise, a copy also exists, and then there exists a copy of the copy. An original look is lost. Yuka Hasegawa’s work utilizes this merchandise, loved by the masses, as a motif and from her unique perspective, with humor and irony, outputs new values as her work.
