Art to Acres is an initiative which support large-scale land conservation. In partnership with environmental non-profit Global Wildlife Conservation, which has matched the donation, this project will conserve cloud forest in Guatemala.

Rashid Johnson’s limited-edition print employs the repeated motif which featured in his Anxious Red series, which began as drawings made during and in reaction to the global lockdown. Through these archetypal faces, Johnson has captured the ‘life and death’ urgency of this moment.

Co-published by Hauser & Wirth and Brand X Editions, this print is the result of a creative collaboration between Rashid Johnson and master printers at Brand X Editions. Seen in this video for the first time, the print deftly uses a proprietary technique of silk screen resist with hand applied pigment to stunning results.
